If I could, I would
Climb the highest mountain, sail the farthest seas
If I could, I would
Carry the largest cross, give my life-blood
To take my sins away
If I could, I would
Torture myself, beat myself to pulp
If I could, I would
Tear of my sinful flesh
To take my sins away
But I can’t, so I won’t
Try to take my sins away
He made it so simple
Almost too good to be true
To take my sins away
Believe in me, He said
I am the lamb that takes away the sins of the world
Give me your burden of sin and take my own yoke
Let my blood wash away your sins
To take your sins away
And so I come, wretched sinner that I am
Guilty, in dire need of cleansing and forgiveness
‘Forgive me’ I cry
I believe you can and you will
So take my sins away
A brand new life He gives me
Sins power over me He breaks
So that if I fall, I don’t stay down
I rise again and try again
My sins are taken away
We are sinners Maz, that's our nature (Adam and Eva, Kain and Abel...). Feeling guilty? Conscience issues? We should avoid to do those things that bother us later on. Can we still face Him? He will forgive us anyway, but we'd better don't do it.
